Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our Core Engineering – Hardware team. This role is focused on designing, developing, and optimizing FPGA-based solutions for ultra- low latency trading infrastructure and high-performance computing applications.

You will work closely with Low-Latency Software Developers, System Engineers, Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Traders, and Researchers to accelerate latency-critical components using FPGA technology. The ideal candidate has strong experience in FPGA design, RTL development, timing optimization, and hardware acceleration for complex real-time systems.

Whether your experience comes from High Frequency Trading, Telecommunications, Networking, Aerospace, Defence, Semiconductor, Embedded Systems, or other FPGA-intensive industries, you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most performance-critical systems in electronic trading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based applications for ultra-low latency and high- performance systems.
  • Develop RTL modules using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL for latency-sensitive applications.
  • Build and optimize FPGA solutions for market data processing, order execution, and hardware acceleration.
  • Perform FPGA synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and resource optimization.
  • Develop reusable FPGA IPs and hardware components for scalable system design.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers and System Engineers to integrate FPGA solutions with the overall trading infrastructure.
  • Debug and validate FPGA designs using simulation, hardware testing, and on-board debugging tools.
  • Analyze and optimize latency, throughput, resource utilization, and power efficiency.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the evolution of next-generation FPGA platforms.
  • Maintain design documentation and follow engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or a related discipline.
  • Candidates from IITs and other premier universities are strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in FPGA design and development.
  • Strong experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design, finite state machines, pipelining, and synchronous design principles.
  • Experience in RTL simulation, timing analysis, and timing closure.
  • Good understanding of computer architecture and hardware-software interaction.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should have experience in several of the following:

  • FPGA development for High Frequency Trading platforms.
  • High-performance networking and packet processing.
  • Hardware acceleration for latency-critical applications.
  • PCIe, Ethernet, DMA, DDR memory interfaces, and high-speed communication protocols.
  • Market data processing or low-latency networking.
  • High-speed digital design and signal processing.
  • Hardware verification methodologies and simulation frameworks.
  • Embedded systems or real-time hardware applications.
  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx or Intel FPGA platforms.

Candidates from industries such as High Frequency Trading, Semiconductors, Telecommunications, Networking, Embedded Systems, Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, or other FPGA-centric organizations are encouraged to apply.
