Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and analytical Quantitative Trader to join our High/Mid Frequency Trading team. This role is ideal for individuals with early experience in trading who are eager to deepen their understanding of financial markets, quantitative research, and live trading.

Reporting to the Senior Quantitative Trader and Portfolio Manager – Research & Trading, you will contribute to the research, development, deployment, and monitoring of systematic trading strategies. You will work closely with experienced traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers to analyze market behavior, improve execution quality, and support live trading operations.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, technology-driven environment while building the skills required to become an independent quantitative trader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, develop, and trade High/Mid Frequency trading strategies.
  • Analyze market data and trading behavior to identify potential opportunities and improve existing strategies.
  • Support the complete research lifecycle, including data analysis, signal validation, backtesting, and strategy optimization.
  • Monitor live trading strategies and investigate performance, execution quality, and market anomalies.
  • Work closely with Senior Quantitative Traders and Portfolio Managers to improve strategy robustness and execution efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Researchers and Engineers to enhance research platforms and trading infrastructure.
  • Perform post-trade analysis and prepare performance reports for trading strategies.
  • Stay updated with market developments, quantitative techniques, and advancements in electronic trading.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Graduates from premier institutes such as IITs, IISc, IIITs, ISI, BITS Pilani, top international universities, or other leading quantitative programs are strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in High Frequency Trading, Mid Frequency Trading, Quantitative Trading, Quantitative Research, or Systematic Trading.
  • Good understanding of financial markets, market microstructure, and electronic trading.
  • Exposure to systematic trading concepts, backtesting methodologies, and quantitative research.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience working with large datasets and quantitative analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Backtesting frameworks and strategy validation techniques.
  • Market data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Futures, Options, Equities, Commodities, or Global Markets.
  • SQL, Python libraries, or other quantitative research frameworks.
